Program accomplishments

  • DURING 2025, YOUTH EXPERIENCE SPONSORSHIP ("YES") SPONSORED 39 INDIVIDUAL YOUTH THROUGH 59 ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCES AND AWARDED $43,146 IN SPONSORSHIP GRANTS. THESE OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, TUTORING, SPORTS TEAMS, CAMPS, ARTS PROGRAMS, AND OTHER YOUTH DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES. YOUTH CHOOSE THE EXPERIENCE; YES SIMPLY HELPS REMOVE THE FINANCIAL BARRIER. BY CONNECTING DONOR DOLLARS TO REAL-TIME FAMILY NEEDS, YES PARTNERED WITH AND PAID 23 DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING SERVICES ACROSS A BROAD RANGE OF DISCIPLINES AND INTERESTS.YOUTH EXPERIENCE SPONSORSHIP ("YES") IS A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT REMOVES FINANCIAL BARRIERS SO MOTIVATED, UNDER-RESOURCED YOUTH CAN ACCESS ENRICHING EXPERIENCES IN ATHLETICS, ARTS, EDUCATION, AND OTHER ASPIRATIONAL ENDEAVORS. YES SERVES YOUTH AND FAMILIES THROUGHOUT MARIN, SONOMA, AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES BY SPONSORING EXPERIENCES OF THEIR CHOOSING AND PAYING APPROVED ORGANIZATIONS DIRECTLY. WE DO NOT CLAIM TO KNOW WHICH EXPERIENCE MAY BECOME MEANINGFUL OR LIFE-CHANGING FOR A YOUNG PERSON. OUR ROLE IS SIMPLY TO CREATE ACCESS TO MORE OPPORTUNITIES DURING THE FINITE YEARS OF CHILDHOOD, WHEN THOSE OPPORTUNITIES MATTER MOST.TO ENSURE ACCOUNTABILITY, YES PAYS APPROVED ORGANIZATIONS DIRECTLY RATHER THAN PROVIDING FUNDS TO FAMILIES. WE MEET FAMILIES WHERE THEY ARE, SUPPORT THEM THROUGH THE APPLICATION AND EXPERIENCE PROCESSES, VERIFY ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION, AND REMAIN FLEXIBLE AS INTERESTS AND NEEDS EVOLVE. FAMILIES MAY APPLY FOR ADDITIONAL OR DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES OVER TIME, ALLOWING SPONSORSHIPS TO ADAPT IN REAL TIME. THIS APPROACH ENABLES YES TO EFFICIENTLY CONNECT DONOR DOLLARS TO YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES WHILE ALLOWING PARENTS, COACHES, TEACHERS, AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS TO FOCUS ON WHAT THEY DO BEST: DELIVERING THE EXPERIENCES.
