Mission
Foster national and international amateur sports competition to promote the proficiency and lifesaving skills of lifeguards on public beaches.
Program accomplishments
- Four days of beach events for the four South Bay Cities of Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. Events included ocean swims, paddleboard races, beach volleyball, surfing, body surfing, sand run and youth beach and sailing events. Over 3,000 competitors and 50,000 spectators were enjoyed the Surf Festival.Expenses $164,445
