COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION THAT PROMOTES COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PROTECTS RESIDENTS AGAINST ECONOMIC DISPLACEMENT THROUGH FINANCIAL COUNSELING, SERVICES FOR LOW-INCOME HOMEOWNERS, AND DEVELOPING PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE HOUSING. AT LEASE 1,000 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED.
Program accomplishments
- EPACANDO'S ENTIRE PROGRAM IS FOCUSED ON CREATING OR SUSTAINING HOUSING AND HOUSING AFFORDABILITY IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER IN EAST PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA. WE DEVELOP AND/OR MANAGE AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING, ADMINISTER THE CITY'S AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP PROGRAM, AND PROVIDE COUNSELING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND ACCESS TO FINANCING TO LOW-INCOME HOMEOWNERS WHO DEVELOP ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS ON THEIR PROPERTIES, WHICH IN TURN PROVIDES HOUSING THAT IS AFFORDABLE TO THEIR FAMILIES OR TENANTS.
