Program accomplishments

  • IN 2025, SKAGIT GLEANERS MADE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT BY SERVING OVER 5000 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS FROM BOTH OUR COMMUNITY-COOPERATIVE PROGRAM AND OUR FREE PUBLIC FOOD PANTRY. WE CONTINUED TO ADDRESS FOOD INSECURITY AND WASTE IN SKAGIT COUNTY BY SUCCESSFULLY DIVERTING OVER 2 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD FROM LANDFILLS. THIS WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE DEDICATION OF 1000 VOLUNTEERS WHO CONTRIBUTED OVER 25,000 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER TIME.
    Expenses $4,860,928
  • SKAGIT GLEANERS LAUNCHED A COMMUNITY GARDEN PROGRAM MANAGED BY OUR ORGANIZATION,PROVIDING FRESH PRODUCE TO OUR PARTICIPANTS. THIS 1/3-ACRE PLOT WAS GENEROUSLY PROVIDED BY THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH AT NO COST TO THE PROGRAM. THIS HAS EMPOWERED OVER A DOZEN VOLUNTEERS TO CULTIVATE AND HARVEST A VARIETY OF FRESH LEAFY GREENS AND VEGETABLES, INCLUDING KALE, LETTUCE, TOMATOES, CUCUMBERS, SQUASH, AND PEAS. OUR GARDEN HAS YIELDED NEARLY 5,000 POUNDS OF FRESH VEGETABLES, ALL DISTRIBUTED AT OUR MARKET.
