ACADEMY OF NEUROLOGIC PHYSICAL THERAPY, INC. IS A PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP COMMUNITY ADVANCING NEUROLOGIC PHYSICAL THERAPY THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND CLINICAL PRACTICE INITIATIVES AND RESOURCES TO OPTIMIZE MOVEMENT AND WELLBEING FOR THOSE AT RISK FOR OR IMPACTED BY NEUROLOGIC CONDITIONS.
Program accomplishments
- THE ACADEMY OF NEUROLOGY PHYSICAL THERAPY (ANPT) IS A COMPONENT OF THE AMERICAN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION. THE ANPT WORKS TO EMPOWER ITS MEMBERS TO OPTIMIZE MOVEMENT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY NEUROLOGIC CONDITIONS. IT DOES THIS BY:-PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT & DISSEMINATION OF NEW KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING PHYSICAL THERAPY MANAGEMENT OF PERSONS WITH NEUROLOGIC DYSFUNCTION.- PROMOTING STANDARDS OF SCIENTIFIC ACCEPTABILITY IN NEUROLOGIC RESEARCH.- SERVING AS A MAJOR SOURCE OF INFORMATION OF NEUROLOGIC PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR THE PROFESSION.THE ANPT DEVELOPS AND OFFERS PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS, PEER NETWORKING, INDUSTRY PUBLICATIONS AS WELL AS CONFERENCES AND EVENTS.
