Mission
The Kisumu Education and Environment Fund supports small-scale social development projects in Kisumu Kenya, with a focus on education, housing, and food security for orphans and less fortunate children, along with waste management and other environmental issues in the poorest slums in Kisumu. The Kisumu Fund strongly believes that every child deserves a quality education, food security, and a safe place to sleep. All children matter, including those in the slums of Kisumu.
Program accomplishments
- The Kisumu Education and Environment Fund completed the acquisition of the land on which the Life Centre School is located. The acquisition of the land allows Life Centre School to remain in operation, allowing the school to continue to provide education, housing and food security to orphans, street children and the less fortunate. Without the purchase, the school would have closed.Expenses $176,188
