Program accomplishments

  • Advocacy and Organizing: We mobilized and advocated on behalf of our members to shape housing-related policies and programs at the local, state, and federal levels as guided by our adopted public policy priorities. By providing timely information and equipping members with tools to advocate for themselves, in 2025, we celebrated the successful passage of parking reform locally and numerous pro-housing bills during the 89th Texas Legislative session. Over the next two years, we will lead the charge for Dallas Zoning Reform.
    Expenses $79,500
  • Events, Meetings, Trainings, and Partnerships: We hosted regular member, steering committee, and board meetings to engage our 400+ non- and for-profit organization and individual members. By partnering with community-based organizations on public events, Zoning 101 community talks, and our 2nd Annual Housing Summit, we built grassroots support for housing and reached Dallas residents. Dallas Housing Coalition will continue to lead, participate in, and help convene housing-related meetings and trainings to strengthen Dallas organizational capacity, expertise, and infrastructure for attainable housing creation and preservation.
    Expenses $62,686 · revenue $182,554
  • Marketing, Communications, and Media Outreach: We published monthly newsletters, timely e-blasts, and advocacy alerts to build our momentum. We also fostered a growing social media presence and host a weekly Housing for All webinar series to increase public awareness of the importance of housing affordability. Through our strong public relation efforts, we have amassed 8,647 total followers and monitor our media mentions through a platform, Meltwater.
    Expenses $41,533
