Mission
We lift up those in need, help restore dignity to every life, and are a bridge for love and hope to those who may have temporarily found themselves without resources. Our goal is to allow Christ to work through us, and more importantly, through you.
Program accomplishments
- Focus MinistriesConnect the Hearts financially supported Focus Ministries through monthly donation for Focus Minister Stephen Debolt and Focus Minister Leah Manning. Focus Mission: To bring Christ to the world, transforming lives, campuses, parishes and beyond through the power of the Gospel, in particular, on college campuses through on-campus outreach. Individual Outreach All of these broader events (above) are always simultaneously filled in with day to day individual outreach to people in need. Keeping identities anonymous, Connect the Hearts was able to help a senior disabled man who is recovering from a severe stroke and cannot drive. We drove him to doctor appointments, assisted with household tasks, technology issues, grocery shopping and other errands. Connect the Hearts helped several families financially with gift cards for groceries, back to school clothes, utility bills, car repairs and gasoline. Connect the Hearts provided monthly support for diabetes medication for a senior gentleman in Tijuana. Connect the Hearts came alongside a young adult lady to help her pass her driver's license behind the wheel exam. Connect the Hearts helped keep a disabled senior lady safe mentally, emotionally and physically as she continued to struggle with homelessness. We moved and consolidated her items from storage in California and Chicago into a new unit in Lafayette,Indiana. We moved her to Lafayette and helped her embark on securing shelter and temporary housing there.Expenses $21,016
- Guatemalan EffortsIn 2025, Connect the Hearts helped 166 families in three remote mountain communities in need: Las Pen~as, Alcoba and Los Cebollines near Jalapa. The residents of these communities suffer from stomach issues due to contaminated water, as well as respiratory illnesses from exposure to smoke from unvented, wood-burning stoves. We traveled to Guatemala in August 2025 to inspect previously installed water filters and stoves, making sure all is functioning properly. We also began planning stages for new projects: engineering study and materials required for 26,000 gallon water storage tank, road repairs and widening, pit toilet installation, water distribution system, engineering study to bring three phase electrical system for well/pump, annual replacement of water filters, weatherproofing for schoolhouse, maintenance of mental health program. We visited two additional communities, Las Marias and Concepcion de Maria (110 families in all) who need water filtration buckets and smokeless stoves in the future. Connect the Hearts held a fund raising dinner on October 4, 2025 to raise money for these projects. We flew in and hosted Padre Ilcear Lopez (Priest of the Diocese of Jalapa Guatemala) as keynote speaker for the fund raiser.Mexico OutreachConnect the Hearts continued to aid God's children in Mexico through Corazn. In 2025, we built 5 houses and attended one Electrical Installation Training event. Connect the Hearts made a Corazn Fund raising Presentation at Indio California Rotary Club. Connect the Hearts continues to support International Network of Hearts, the charity that runs Casa de Jardin. Casa de Jardin is a group home in Mexico that provides comprehensive residential services and optimal care to survivors of human trafficking. Every month, Connect the Hearts helps to financially support these children (between the ages of 5-17) who are rescued and cared for by this wonderful organization.Expenses $14,773
- St. Kilian Catholic ChurchOperation Christmas AngelIn December 2025, Connect the Hearts ran the Operation Christmas Angel Program at St. Kilian Church benefiting the children of Food Pantry clients and students at St. Ann's Catholic School in Santa Ana, CA. Connect the Hearts interviewed the families to collect ages, clothing and shoe sizes and gift ideas. We then matched up each individual child with a St. Kilian parishioner, who purchased the Christmas Gifts. Connect the Hearts teamed up with Boy Scout Troop to distribute Christmas gifts to 381 children. We also delivered the gifts to St. Ann's School and to families who were unable to pick up the gifts themselves.St. Kilian Food PantryConnect the Hearts supported St. Kilian Church and Food Pantry by picking up loads of donated food almost every week for most of the year at a local grocery store as part of the Grocery Rescue Program run through Second Harvest Food Bank. Connect the Hearts picked up the load, weighed it, logged it and unloaded it into St. Kilian Food Pantry. In 2025, Connect the Hearts also delivered food from St. Kilian Food Pantry to families who do not have the ability to pick up food themselves.Thanksgiving DinnerIn November 2025, Connect the Hearts organized the Second Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at St. Kilian Church in Mission Viejo with over 100 volunteers. Connect the Hearts did all of the shopping and cooking for this event. We served over 307 dinners on Thanksgiving Day. Invitations went out to anyone lacking food, family or friends. Guests were comprised of St. Kilian Food Pantry Clients, as well as individuals and families who are homeless or living in their cars.Expenses $68
