Mission
To create a supportive structure that promotes and empowers individual lacrosse programs, reduces barriers to entry, and fosters sportsmanship and inclusivity across all seasons.
Program accomplishments
- LaxPoint exists to ensure that every child, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to the life changing opportunities that come through sport. We believe lacrosse is more than a game. It is a vehicle for confidence, mentorship, structure, and community. Our mission is rooted in removing barriers such as financial, geographic, and social so that the game truly becomes for everyone. In 2025, that mission was tested in ways we could not have anticipated.Following the devastating Palisades fires, hundreds of families in our community lost their homes, their belongings, and their sense of normalcy. In response, LaxPoint organized a Palisades Community Day. This was not just about lacrosse. It was about bringing people back together when they needed it most.Through that effort, we outfitted over 175 kids with new and gently used lacrosse equipment, ensuring they could return to the field without financial burden. The support extended well beyond the sport. Families received clothing, school supplies, toiletries, and gift cards to help them begin rebuilding their lives. For many families, this was more than assistance. It was a reminder that they were not alone. For the kids, it was a return to joy, structure, and community during an incredibly uncertain time.At the same time, we continued expanding access to the game in communities that have historically been overlooked. In Torrance, LaxPoint supported the growth of the Torrance Titans by providing 35 brand new sets of lacrosse equipment. This removed the cost barrier for new families and immediately opened the door for participation. As a result, the program doubled in size from the previous year. What started as a small initiative has grown into a sustainable community program where kids are finding confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging. In Gardena, we launched the first youth lacrosse program in the city. Through five free clinics led by experienced coaches, we introduced the game to an entirely new community. Every participating child received a full lacrosse equipment set, eliminating the biggest barrier to entry from the very beginning. These clinics were not one time events. They were the foundation for a lasting program that continues to grow and provide opportunities where none previously existed.Across all of our efforts in 2025, one thing remains constant. LaxPoint is not just growing the game. We are changing who has access to it.Whether it is supporting families in crisis, equipping first time players, or building programs from the ground up in underserved communities, our work is driven by a simple belief.Every child deserves a place to belong.Every child deserves a chance to play.Expenses $24,427
