Mission

Our primary mission is to reduce the number of feral cats in communities of the Owens Valley, CA. We use the best-practice technique that involves trapping, spay/neuter and return of feral cats, and we also provide funds to cover medical care for sick or diseased cats, vaccinations, and financial support for those who cannot afford TNR or other supporting services. Community services include education, trapping, rehoming, funding for low-cost vaccinations, and spay/neuter services for feral and semi-feral cats.

990-EZ for the year ended June 30, 2026

Program accomplishments

  • In the 2025-2026 tax cycle we raised $9376 in funds to support our goal of subsidizing TNR (spay/neuter) surgery and vaccinations for feral cats. We helped sterilize and vaccinate 84 feral cats, including 50 females and 34 males. This translates to nearly 560 kittens that were not conceived, which helped to reduce the burden on the animal shleter. We promoted education messaging about feral cats, the importance of trapping. We aligned our goals to conform with the guidelines of the local Inyo County Animal Shelter.
    Expenses $11,486
  • In the 2024-2025 tax cycle we raised $7352 in funds to support our goal of paying for spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations. We helped 92 feral cats, including 54 females and 38 males. We also supported foster care and homing for 12 feral kittens. We aligned our goals to conform with the guidelines of the local Inyo County Animal Shelter.
    Expenses $10,930
  • We funded TNR or foster care for 92 cats in 2023-2024. Of the total, 54 were female spays, 38 were male castrations. The number includes 11 kittens, and two cats were humanely euthanized. Female cats can have up to four litters a year, which translates into at least 216 fewer kittens born in the Owens Valley in 2024-2025. We raised $7352, 30% less than the previous year, and at the same time cared for 30% more cats compared to the previous year. With only $5 left in our account, we will be seeking larger fundraising opportunities in 2025-2026.
    Expenses $6,287
