Mission
At Brackenhollow we offer a thriving, caring community and the many benefits of riding and working with horses to both children and adults who would not normally be able to afford the horse experience.
Program accomplishments
- Every week, we teach 27 group lessons of 4-5 students each. We have 14 horses, 5 instructors, and about 90 students. The program's objective is to provide access to horses and horseback riding for those who normally could not afford it. This is done through a sliding scale of 5 tiers, the lowest being that the student pays nothing and volunteers in exchange for riding lessons. The activity also fosters community, inspires exercising outdoors, and gives the deep psychological benefit of relationships with animals.Expenses $252,908 · revenue $81,986
