Program accomplishments

  • Warriors of Hope continued our focus on Community Outreach events, where we approach homeless and struggling people in the cities of Orange, Santa Ana and Anaheim, and preach the Gospel to them, while also taking care of immediate needs such as food, clothing and sleeping bags. This year WOH hosted a total of 4 large community events at two different venues, for Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. These events provided food and fellowship to supportive housing communities in Casa Querencia and The Orchard. Ongoing community outreach continued in the form of weekly Bible studies, breakfast meetings and other outreach events. We also continued to help needy families with documentation assistance eg like with the DMV, vehicle assistance as well as rent assistance.Weekly outreach outings to local parks in Santa Ana, Orange and Anaheim saw the distribution of warm clothing, sleeping bags and food.In Jesse's House, we housed 6 single mother families with a total of 8 kids. Jesse's House is a safe house program that we run from a house on Palm ave inOrange. We take in women and children that are down and out, andoften come from abusive situations. Once they pass screening wetake them in and provide for them. The plan is that they find work and graduate from the program within 6 months and move on to their own housing. During their stay we have Bible studies and budgeting life skills training to help them and their children. The Kia Spectra that was received as a donation is being used for program service needs.Warriors of Hope started a thrift store to help boost income to be used for program services. A DBA for Warriors of Hope Thrift was registered. Work commenced on the thrift store but it would not open until 2026. The physical location of the thrift store would also serve as a location for Bible studies and community events.
