Program accomplishments

  • NCC is restoring and revitalizing Norwich's historic Grange Hall as a community center open to all. Activities in the revitalized Grange Hall will be designed to bring together groups who have not previously overlapped. There will be intergenerational activities, events designed to welcome and orient newcomers (primarily young families), and opportunities for nonprofits to intersect and find new ways to collaborate and energize volunteers. NCC seeks to build community engagement. They offered four pancake breakfasts to the community in 2025, serving over 600 people of all ages. These breakfasts offered opportunities for youth volunteerism, senior meal support, and community engagement. The breakfasts also offered opportunities for discussions and petitions for town meeting and other business in the community. Other seasonal offerings included First and Last Day school celebrations reaching approximately 400 children and their parents as well as a March Sugaring Party, a spring Seed and Tool Swap, and Halloween events.
