Program accomplishments

  • IN 2025, EQUI-CENTERED CONTINUED TO PROVIDE TRANSFORMATIVE EQUINE-ASSISTED SERVICES TO SOME OF THE MOST VULNERABLE AND UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS, INCLUDING SURVIVORS OF SEX TRAFFICKING, VETERANS, PROGRAM STAFF, AND INDIVIDUALS IMPACTED BY ICE-RELATED CIRCUMSTANCES. THROUGH A TRAUMA- INFORMED AND EXPERIENTIAL APPROACH, WE CREATED A SAFE AND RESTORATIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE PARTICIPANTS COULD BEGIN TO REBUILD TRUST, EMOTIONAL REGULATION, AND PERSONAL RESILIANCE. OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR, WE EXPANDED ACCESS TO OUR EQUINE FACILIATED PROGRAMS, INCREASING THE NUMBER OF TEENS RECOVERING FROM SEX TRAFFICKING WHO RECEIVED CONSISTENT, SUPPORTIVE CARE. THESE SESSIONS OFFERED A UNIQUE PATHWAY TO HEALING, HELPING PARTICIPANTS PROCESS TRAUMA, DEVELOP CONFIDENCE, AND RECONNECT WITH A SENSE OF SELF-WORTH. WE ALSO DEEPENED OUR WORK WITH VETERANS, MANY OF WHOM FACE CHALLENGES RELATED TO PTSD, ANXIETY, AND REINTEGRATION. OUR EQUINE-ASSISTED SESSIONS PROVIDED MEANINGFUL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONNECTION, GROUNDING, AND NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION, SUPPORTING IMPROVED EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND COMMUNITY RE-ENGAGEMENT. RECOGNIZING THE EMOTIONAL DEMANDS PLACED ON THOSE WORKING IN TRAUMA BASED SITUATIONS, WE INTRODUCED AND STRENGTHENED SUPPORT SERVICES FOR STAFF CONNECTED TO THESE PROGRAMS. BY PRIORITIZING THEIR MENTAL HEALTH AND RESILIENCE, WE HELPED SUSTAIN A STRONGER, MORE EFFECTIVE NETWORK OF CARE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. THROUGHOUT 2025, OUR ORGANIZATION REMAINED COMMITTED TO COMPASSIONATE, RELATIONSHIP-CENTERED CARE. THE POWERFUL CONNECTION BETWEEN HUMANS AND HORSES CONTINUED TO SERVE AS A CATALYST FOR HEALING, GROWTH, AND HOPE.
