Program accomplishments

  • 2024 continued to be challenging post the Covid-19 pandemic. The Washington Federation focused on providing guidance and resources to animal welfare organizations to help them navigate through the changing landscapes of animal care throughout the year. In 2024 The Federation awarded grants totaling $81,500 funding spay or neuter surgeries for companion animals and community cats. Grants are made possible by the SPAY~NEUTER~ADOPT specialty license plates which launched in 2007. We are pleased that we have continued to offer our virtual euthanasia by injection classes. The Federations legislative activity during the 2024 session involved monitoring and supporting several bills.
