Mission

Improve the living conditions of local, San Juan County families and help provide housing for people at or below 80% of the county median income by coordinating and providing technical and supervisory assistance during home construction in designated areas.

990 for the year ended September 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Coordinates and provides technical support and supervisory assistance to San Juan County families during the construction of their own homes and administers the loans received by the individual families from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to acquire land and construct their own homes. In FY23, the organization secured land for its next construction project. New operations were ceased while pursuing the new land and managing the existing properties. During FY24, the organization began renting one of its properties while trying to determine the future direction of the organization. The organization is managed by the board of directors while keeping operating costs minimal.

What it must file and when

IRS records say it files Form 990 or 990-EZ. Based on its last return; a smaller organization may file the 990-N. Its accounting year ends in September, so each return is due on the 15th day of the 5th month after that.
