Mission
Cascadian Chorale is a mixed-voice chamber choir based in Bellevue, Washington that is dedicated to the performance and promotion of fine choral music.
Program accomplishments
- For two performances in December 2024, Cascadian Chorale presented Solstice and Dawn, a concert of holiday choral music primarily written or arranged in the 21st century. Some holiday songs were arrangements of familiar tunes (such as the Huron Carol) and some were original. We premiered two new pieces. The concerts were well-attended and liked by our audiences.Expenses $6,009
- In March 2025, we gave two concerts that celebrated Cascadian Chorale's 60th anniversary. All of the pieces performed in the concerts were composed by current or former singers, and almost all of the pieces were world premieres. The entire second half was dedicated to a newly-composed Requiem mass setting by Jeremy Kings. In addition to our usual audience members, we welcomed prior members to our concerts and hosted a touring high school choir to let them know that there are musical opportunities outside of school.Expenses $9,928
- Our final two concerts of the season were planned for June 2025. The concert was titled Pick a Mass! and the program included one movement from ten different mass settings from the Renaissance to present day. After hearing all of the pieces, the audience would vote on their favorites for us to perform the full mass in a future season. Unfortunately, we were not able to complete the concerts due to a covid outbreak, but our audiences are looking forward to this performance next season.Expenses $8,492
