Mission

OUR MISSION IS TO FOSTER A STRONG ARTS COMMUNITY IN FREMONT COUNTY BY PROVIDING ARTS LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AND EXHIBITION EXPERIENCES FOR ALL.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • THE LANDER ART CENTER HOSTED 8 GALLERY EXHIBITIONS AND 2 LARGE-SCALE ART MARKETS THIS YEAR, CREATING DIRECT SALES OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVER 160 LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS. THESE EVENTS, INCLUDING OUR ANNUAL MEMBER'S SHOW, ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC AND PROVIDE A RARE VENUE IN OUR RURAL AREA FOR ARTISTS TO DISPLAY AND SELL THEIR WORK. BY MANAGING THESE MARKETS AND GALLERY SHOWS, WE HELP EMERGING AND PROFESSIONAL ARTIST TURN THEIR CRAFT INTO A VIABLE LOCAL BUSINESS WHILE GIVING THE COMMUNITY FREE ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY ART.
    Expenses $42,614
  • OUR YEAR-ROUND EDUCATION PROGRAM HELD OVER 75 UNIQUE CLASSES FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS, FOCUSING ON KEEPING COSTS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE FOR FREMONT COUNTY RESIDENTS. IN 2025, WE FACILITATED ROUGHLY 3,500 INDIVIDUAL CLASSROOM AND STUDIO ENGAGEMENTS. THESE REPEATED INTERACTIONS THROUGH SCHEDULED WORKSHOPS AND DROP-IN SESSIONS ENSURE THAT HIGH-QUALITY ARTS INSTRUCTION IS A CONSISTENT RESOURCE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
    Expenses $41,539
  • THE LANDER ART CENTER OPERATES A COMMUNAL CLAY STUDIO EQUIPPED WITH A KILN AND PROFESSIONAL TOOLS THAT WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MOST INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS TO OWN. THIS YEAR, WE SUPPORTED 25 INDEPENDENT SHELF RENTERS AND ROUGHLY 20 OTHER REGULAR ARTISTS WHO USE THE SPACE TO CREATE THEIR WORK. THE STUDIO ACTS AS A COLLABORATIVE HUB WHERE ARTISTS SHARE EQUIPMENT AND EXPERTISE, MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR LOCAL POTTERS TO MAINTAIN THEIR PRACTICE IN A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.
    Expenses $38,509
  • BEYOND OUR OWN PROGRAMMING, WE WORKED TO STRENGTHEN THE LOCAL ARTS SCENE BY SUPPORTING 3 EXTERNAL ART MARKETS. WE PROVIDED THE TOOLS, PLANNING HELP, AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO MAKE THESE COMMUNITY EVENTS SUCCESSFUL, EXTENDING OUR REACH BEYOND THE WALLS OF THE ART CENTER
