Mission
Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) with a mission to improve the economic, mental, and physical health well-being of low- to moderate-income families by providing safe, stable, quality, and affordable housing. Our efforts are centered on the development of affordable housing and providing residents with the tools and information they need to break cycles of poverty and financial instability.
Program accomplishments
- During the year Quest 4 Success completed the Powell/Outlet Program that improved the lives of 12 low income tenants by providing $800,000 worth of safe, energy-efficient, affordable housing. These 4 new construction single family, modern homes feature 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, granite countertops, luxury vinyl plank flooring, privacy-fenced backyard, and a 2-car carport parking space. The homes are located in a safe neighborhood, reducing the families exposure to crime and health hazards, while enhancing their physical and mental health, and also walking distance to grocery stores, retail stores, churches, and public transportation, offering these families stability and convenience. Paying rent under 30% of their monthly income enables these under 80%AMI families to move beyond living paycheck to paycheck, allowing them to save, budget effectively, and achieve greater financial stability opening doors to broader opportunities for employment, education, resources, networking, and community involvement. The units are 100% tenant occupied with 20 qualified families on our waitlist, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to secure similar safe and affordable homes. The construction and development of this project generated employment opportunities and invigorated the local economy. By employing 55% HUD Section 3 subcontractors, it provided these low income individuals with access to jobs created through a HUD funded project strengthening our corporations community ties and cohesion. This project represents a significant investment in housing stability in the community.Expenses $841,755 · grants $800,000 · revenue $10,480
