Mission
The Kansas Latino Community Network is improving health equity by empowering Latinos through nonpartisan civic engagement, leadership development, and coalition building.
Program accomplishments
- The KS Latino Community Network makes a difference in Kansas communities through non-partisan civic engagement and leadership development activities. We utilize data to identify and target communities with the highest Latino population growth and use effective strategies adapted to successfully serve the Latino community. The core programs are organized in three categories: civic engagement, leadership development and coalition building and all programs are free and open to the public. In 2024 we reached 95,266 community members through digital outreach, trained 30 community leaders, collected over 1,600 pledge-to-vote cards and launched successful bilingual voter campaigns in 5 key counties: Seward, Ford, Finney, Sedgwick, and Wyandotte. We did this by creating bilingual, culturally relevant, data driven voter outreach to reach low-turnout voters, organizing weekly voter contact events and building strong community and organizational partnerships in communities where Latino voices need to be heard and lifted into leadership.Expenses $182,086
