Mission
Early childhood education
Program accomplishments
- The primary exempt purpose of seeafricagrow is to provide early childhood education for children between the ages of 4 to 6 years, whose parents cannot afford to pay for their preschool education in many African countries. During our first year of operation, from June 1, 2022 to May 30, 2023 the organization raised money through the contribution of members and online fundraising campaign through gofundme.com. The money was sent to support the CRIF women organization in Bamako, Mali, which started preschool education of 16 children (boys and girls). From November 2022 to June 30, 2023, the children were gathered in the yard of a volunteer and taught reading, writing, games, and physical activities by 2 teachers and an administrator. They were provided uniforms, school supplies, beverages and lunch every day of school. At the end of the school year, the children were transported to the botanical garden and zoo in Bamako. The children who reach the school age of 6 will go to continue their free education in public schools run by the country. Others of younger age will be recruited to attend the school starting in November 2023. This is our first year of operation and 100% of the contribution was devoted to support the 16 preschool children in Bamako, Mali.
