THE MISSION AT NATES PLACE, A WELLNESS AND RECOVERY CENTER, IS TO DELIVER TARGETED PROGRAMS, HEALTHY REPLACEMENT ACTIVITIES, AND 1:1 PEER SUPPORT RECOVERY COACHING TO TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS (AGES 13-26), WHO ARE AT RISK OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND/OR MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS, OR STRIVING TO ATTAIN AND MAINTAIN SOBRIETY AND MENTAL HEALTH IN A SAFE, HEALTHY MANNER. NATE'S PLACE, A WELLNESS AND RECOVERY CENTER FILLS A GAP IN SERVICES FOR UNDERSERVED, UNINSURED AND LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS. WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES, FREE OF CHARGE, WITH FREE TRANSPORTATION: 1. 1:1 PEER SUPPORT RECOVERY COACHING FOR EVERY PARTICIPANT. 2. 20+ HEALTHY RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. 3. 14 GROUPS THAT PROVIDE COUNSELING, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT. 4. BI-MONTHLY COMMUNITY EDUCATION TALKS ON MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE. 5. TEEN INTERVENE PREVENTION GROUPS IN 13 SCHOOLS ACROSS VENTURA COUNTY. 6. SUPPORT GROUPS 2X PER WEEK AT JUVENILE JUSTICE CENTER.
Program accomplishments
- 1. OPERATED YEAR 3 OF NATE'S PLACE CENTER - SUCCESSFULLY SUPPORTED A TOTAL OF 397 TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS. 2. LED A SERIES OF 3 AND 4-WEEK JOB READINESS WORKSHOPS TO HELP OUR PARTICIPANTS CREATE RESUMES, LEARN HOW TO INTERVIEW AND FIND JOBS. 3. ON A MONTHLY AVERAGE, NATE'S PLACE HAS 80+ YOUTH ENROLLED AT THE CENTER. 4. RECEIVED POSITIVE OUTCOMES: 99% OF PARTICIPANTS REPORT IMPROVED MENTAL HEALTH AS A RESULT OF ATTENDING NATE'S PLACE. 5. RECEIVED POSITIVE OUTCOMES: 94% OF PARTICIPANTS REPORT INCREASED MOTIVATION TO DECREASE SUBSTANCE USE SINCE ATTENDING NATE'S PLACE. 6. BOUGHT A 4TH VAN TO TRANSPORT PARTICIPANTS; NATE'S PLACE PROVIDED OVER 2000 FREE PICKUPS AND DROP-OFFS IN 2025. 7. SECURED AN EXPANDED CONTRACT WITH VENTURA COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TO COVER PART OF OUR STAFF WAGES. 8. SERVED TEENS IN 13 SCHOOLS DURING THE 24/25 SCHOOL YEAR. 9. STARTED OFFERING PICKLEBALL AT CENTER AND AT LOCAL PARK. 10. EIGHT OF OUR PEER SUPPORT RECOVERY COACHES HAVE COMPLETED THE 80 HOUR TRAINING AND 7 ARE CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF CA.Expenses $679,317 · revenue $177,348
