Mission
The Corporation is organized and operated to minister to single mothers by providing (i) Christ-like assistance, care, community, and counseling; (ii) affordable and safe temporary housing; and (iii) church family to help walk through this challenging season of their lives.
Program accomplishments
- In 2024, the construction program began building two additional duplexes (four housing units) on our property in order to double our capacity. All of the exterior components of these units were completed by December 2024. Garage enclosures were added to each of the four original housing units. A Storage Building to house equipment and supplies was constructed near the Community Center building. Capital Expenditures were $123,512 in addition to numerous volunteer labor hours.0
- In 2024, the organization provided free housing to 4 single-mother families at one time, and we celebrated the first participant to graduate from our program. In addition to housing, Peacock Legacy of Hope paid for the mothers' car repairs/maintenance, educational costs, etc.Expenses $150,230
- Each single mom supported by Peacock Legacy of Hope is carefully matched with a Moms Helping Moms (M&M) volunteer, who serves as a dedicated mentor throughout her participation in the program. These mentors play a vital role in fostering self-esteem and identifying the unique needs of each mother we serve. Peacock Legacy of Hope actively engages in goal-setting, career counseling, and addressing educational aspirations, among other personalized needs of the mothers. We utilize free or low-cost community counseling resources to provide optimal support for the mothers involved in our program.Expenses $338
