Mission

Providing financial education and security for Life Plan community residents.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Provide assistance to seniors who reside in Utah Life Plan Communities, when they are in danger of losing their housing either through a catastrophic medical or financial event, or the gradual inflation of rents and health care costs that accumulate over time for seniors with fixed incomes. Based on the experience of other Life Plan Communities around the country that have been in operation for decades, we understand that the need for this kind of assistance usually arises around year ten of a Life Plan Community. So far, after six and one-half years, no need for assistance has arisen.
  • Provide education for seniors and their families on financial planning for retirement and financial management in retirement. In 2024 we provided education for 210 people. So far, all of this has been provided to our Foundation in kind by financial and legal professionals and friends of the Foundation. Examples include: Tax strategies in charitable giving, navigating family dynamics in estate planning, questions to ask your financial advisor, costs of high-intensity long term care, and duties and responsibilites of Executors vs. Trustees or Successor Trustees.
  • Athough there is only one Life Plan community now operating in Utah, there will very likely be others in the not-too-distant future. As similar communities are built, we are ready to offer our services as an umbrella or consultant for similar for-profit or not-for-profit institutions hoping to accomplish the same goals.
