Program accomplishments

  • AP4U (Always Pulling for You) continued expanding its mission of strengthening and equipping Hispanic pastors, church leaders, and ministry families throughout Arizona during the 2025-2026 ministry year. It is our philosophy that by serving and caring for local pastors and leaders of local churches we can heal, educate and inspire their congregations. Through AP4U's YouTube channel, theological conferences, Pastors and wives' retreats, pastoral workshops, leadership training, and personal pastoral care, the ministry significantly impacted hundreds of individuals serving within local Hispanic churches who otherwise may not have been able to afford such services. One of the primary ways AP4U served the Hispanic church community this year was through a Spanish speaking theological conference called, "Verdades Sagradas Conference" a large-scale theological training event focused on providing biblically grounded teaching, encouragement, and leadership development. The 2026 conference brought together pastors, seminary students, ministry leaders, and church members from a wide variety of evangelical denominations. The conference exceeded all projected expectations. Although the chapel used normally seats approximately 330 people, additional seating had to be added throughout the facility due to overwhelming demand. Total attendance reached approximately 400 participants, representing 65 churches from Arizona and surrounding regions. The event also mobilized 32 volunteers and 9 worship team members, demonstrating strong collaboration and unity among Hispanic churches. Participants received free theological books, ministry resources, meals, worship sessions, and opportunities for pastoral networking and fellowship. More importantly, the conference strengthened doctrinal conviction, encouraged ministry leaders, and created meaningful relationships among pastors and churches that may not otherwise have interacted. Post- conference evaluations consistently described the event as the most impactful conference they had attended in years. Donor gifts supported the extensive planning and relational development required to carry out these initiatives effectively. This included providing desperately needed scholarships to retreats and conferences, traveling to conferences and ministry events to build long-term ministry partnerships, recruit trusted theological speakers, and strengthen collaborative relationships with ministry leaders throughout the Hispanic evangelical community. Funding also helped provide speaker travel, lodging, hospitality, and conference logistics that contributed to the quality and long-term credibility of the ministry. An especially meaningful aspect of the ministry during this season was the development of four pastor and wives' retreats serving approximately 40 couples throughout the year. These retreats provided intentional opportunities for ministry couples to rest, reconnect, strengthen their marriages, and receive encouragement in both their personal and ministry lives. Many pastors serving within Hispanic churches carry significant emotional and spiritual burdens while often lacking strong support systems. Considering that the majority of these couples come from low-income churches the retreats are provided at no cost and create an environment where pastors and spouses could experience fellowship, biblical encouragement, relational healing, and renewed strength for ministry. In many cases, additional follow-up conversations and personal ministry support continued after the retreats to help address leadership conflicts, family challenges, and long-term ministry planning. AP4U also expanded its direct pastoral care efforts through free workshops attended by about 60 people per workshop specifically designed to strengthen Hispanic pastors and their spouses through practical ministry training, fellowship, leadership development, and personal encouragement. These gatherings addressed real-life ministry challenges while also creating a safe and supportive environment where pastors and ministry couples could build authentic relationships with one another. Throughout the year, pastors and spouses received biblical counseling resources, theological training, books, meals, and ministry tools completely free of charge. Our workshops focused on helping pastors respond biblically and wisely to hurtful or divisive church situations. Pastors also received training to effectively use Logos Bible Software for sermon preparation, biblical research, and discipleship ministry and complimentary one-year Logos accounts. Participants served by AP4U ministries represented multiple churches and denominations throughout Arizona who may not have access to or cannot afford the type of training and opportunities AP4U provides. Those served enjoy ongoing personal follow-up, counseling, ministry encouragement, and leadership support to pastors facing church conflicts, ministry stress, and future planning challenges within their congregations. Overall, AP4U significantly expanded its impact during the 2025-2026 ministry year by strengthening pastors, supporting ministry marriages, equipping church leaders, fostering unity among churches, and increasing access to sound theological education in Spanish. Through conferences, retreats, workshops, retreats and ministry training programs, hundreds of Hispanic pastors, spouses, ministry leaders, and church members received encouragement, practical support, theological education, and relational care that directly strengthened both their personal lives and local church ministries. Looking ahead, AP4U desires to continue providing services that otherwise would not be affordable to Spanish speaking congregations and their leadership. The funding will continue to provide high level training at low or no cost to local church leaders creating healthy churches, stronger families and long-term encouragement for ministry leaders throughout Arizona and beyond.
