Mission

GOAL-Justice is an interfaith coalition of racially and economically diverse congregations that work together to create systemic change through unified direct action. At the annual Nehemiah Action we brought together over 1,100 people and elected officials in pursuit of Pedestrian Safety and Eviction Reform.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Regarding Pedestrian Safety, at the Nehemiah Action we specifically asked SCDOT to complete the addition of street lighting between 253 and Marion Street by 2026, to seek additional funding for lighting projects along the White Horse Road corridor, and to commit to upholding a relationship with the underserved Berea community and meeting regularly to address their concerns. Additionally, the Greenville County Council was asked to establish and implement a Vision Zero plan for the county for zero-pedestrian deaths in the next three years.
    Expenses $210,877
  • Regarding Eviction Reform, at the Nehemiah Action we asked state legislators to support bills SB.56 and H.4270 to seal or expunge evictions from a tenant's permanent record, in anticipation of bringing the statewide evictions down from 3X the national average to closer to the national average.
