Mission
WE WILL PROVIDE FUNDS TO ORGANIZATIONS AND HOSPITALS TO HELP FURTHER RESEARCH PROJECTS AND RAISE AWARENESS WITHIN THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY. THROUGH COMMUNITY SPONSORED EVENTS, BILLBOARDS, BROCHURES, AND OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS AAQAA WILL MODEL SAFE SWIMMING ACTIVITIES TO PREVENT FUTURE INFECTIONS. ALL OF OUR ACTIVITIES WILL BE CHARITABLE IN NATURE.

- TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION OF BRINGING AWARENESS OF NF TO OTHERS WE MAINTAINED OUR WEBSITE, PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL PR AND COMMUNITY EVENTS, AND PROMOTED AWARENESS THROUGH OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS. WE ATTENDED EVENTS AT LOCAL SCHOOLS WHERE WE PROVIDED MARKETING MATERIALS REGARDING WATER SAFETY AND WAYS TO PREVENT NF. IN ADDITION WE COLLABORATED ON A VIDEO THAT SHARES AVEN'S STORY AND EDUCATES OTHERS ON THE DANGERS OF NF AND HOW TO PREVENT INFECTIONS.Expenses $64,051 · grants $41,084
- WE AWARDED FUNDS TO THREE ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS DOING RESEARCH ON NAEGLERIA FOWLERI INCLUDING THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETS DARTMOUTH, THE UNIVERSTIY OF GEORGIA RESEARCH FOUNDATION, AND UNC CHAPEL HILL PUBLIC HEALTH FOUNDATION. IN ADDITION, WE PARTICIPATED IN PR AND COMMUNITY EVENTS TO SPREAD AWARENESS WITHIN THE GENERAL COMMUNITY. WE MAINTAINED AND UPDATED OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS. WE ALSO DESIGNED AND DISTRIBUTED VARIOUS MARKETING/ADVERTISING MATERIALS INCLUDING SHIRTS, WRISTBANDS, A BILLBOARD, PRINTED MATERIALS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT NF AND WAYS TO PREVENT INFECTIONS.Expenses $225,706 · grants $225,706
