Mission

The Samuel L. Asbury Foundation was created to honor a son, brother, and friend who unexpectedly took his life. The Foundation is actively focused on promoting prevention strategies related to suicide and depression, and providing hope to those affected by either.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • The Foundation is actively focused on promoting prevention strategies related to suicide and depression, and providing hope to those affected by either. To perform that important work, the Foundation conducted two primary fundraising events for 2023. Both events were intended to bring people together to raise awareness for suicide prevention and raise funds for the cause. Those funds were used in part by the Foundation, while a generous portion of the funds was sent to four other 501c3 organizations to support their similar work. The Foundation continued grantmaking relationships with other key partner organizations conducting work and research in the field, including We Stand Together Foundation, Hidden Opponent, and Texas Tech University.
    Expenses $199,788
