Mission

We have a two fold mission. With the overwhelming majority of foster children traveling with their belongings in trash bags, part of our mission is to give what little dignity we can and trade their trash bag with a durable duffle bag. The second, and arguably the most important part of our mission is to give them a message of hope. These children are going through a hopeless and lonely period in their lives, we must not let them believe they are alone, forgotten, or that there is no hope. We provide this message of hope by embroidering Joshua 1:9 to each and every bag. Along with every duffle bag we freely offer a colorfully tabbed Bible to every recipient.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2023

Program accomplishments

  • The Duffle Bag Project (DBP) has provided embroidered bags and tabbed Bibles to children throughout the United States and Pakistan. God put it on our hearts to create this ministry in order to reach children who are entering the foster system These children are in need of love, hope, and purpose. We create these bags and give these bibles because we believe in doing so we are providing a guide to the One who offers all these things. Each bag has its opening flap embroidered with Joshua 1:9 and includes a tabbed, kid friendly bible.
