Mission

TO ENHANCE UTAH PORK PRODUCER OPPORTUNITIES BY ESTABLISHING THE UTAH PORK INDUSTRY AS A CONSISTENT AND RESPONSIBLE SUPPLIER OF HIGH QUALITY PORK. WE DO THIS THROUGH CONSUMER PROMOTION, RESEARCH AND EDUCATION, AND RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • CONSUMER INFORMATION & PROMOTION: OUR ORGANIZATION HAS SUCCESSFULLY CREATED VIDEOS AND CLASSROOM RESOURCES FOR EDUCATORS. WE HAVE ESTABLISHED RECIPES AND COOKING METHODS ON OUR WEBSITE. ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE CREATED THE YOUTH PORK INSTITUTE WHICH IS A TWO DAY PROGRAM THAT EDUCATES STUDENTS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN AGRICULTURE AND PORK PRODUCTION. EACH OF THESE THINGS HELPS TO ESTABLISH A STRONG CONSUMER BASE AND AWARENESS, WHICH IN TURN DRIVES DEMAND FOR UTAH PORK.
  • PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY & EDUCATION: OUR INDUSTRY'S GREATEST RESOURCES ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT IT. WE OFFER PRODUCER TRAINING, INTERNSHIPS, AND HAVE A HIGH QUALITY STAFF AVAILABLE TO PRODUCERS. WE PROVIDE A FORUM WHERE PORK PRODUCERS CAN UNITE AND ENCOURAGE YOUTH TO CONTINUE TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN OUR AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITIES.
