Mission

Adoption Helpers serves to support vulnerable children and their caregivers in the foster, adoption, and kinship arena. Adoption Helpers is the only organization in the Upstate that proves respite opportunities for parents/caregivers as well as time for children to connect with other children in similar alternative family situations.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2023

Program accomplishments

  • Adoption Helpers held 4 community respite events in which foster, adoptive, and kinship families could drop off their children in order to have 3-4 hours to themselves. These events require detailed planning in order to provide a safe and fun environment for these children.
    Expenses $8,545
  • Adoption Helpers provides 4 hours of free childcare to foster, adoptive, and kinship families by utilizing trauma informed volunteers. During these in-home respite visits, Adoption Helpers provides a meal and brings in new games or activities for the children.
