Mission
BROADWAY ON MAIN THEATRE COMPANY EMPOWERS YOUTH AND ADULTS IN THE GREATER NEW HAVEN COMMUNITY THROUGH PROFESSIONAL THEATER EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE IN A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE, BILINGUAL ENVIRONMENT. WE USE THEATER AS A POWERFUL TOOL TO RAISE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS, FOSTERING EMPATHY, RESILIENCE, AND DIALOGUE AMONG OUR CAST, CREW, AND AUDIENCES. THROUGH STRONG COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND ROBUST SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT, WE ENSURE OUR PROGRAMS REMAIN ACCESSIBLE TO ALL, CREATING LASTING IMPACT BOTH ON AND OFF THE STAGE. TOGETHER, WE AIM TO BUILD A HEALTHIER, MORE COMPASSIONATE WORLD THROUGH THE ARTS.

- THE ORGANIZATION HAS PRODUCED LARGE SCALE PRODUCTIONS INCLUDING THE WIZARD OF OZ, WILLY WONKA, ELF THE MUSICAL, A CHRISTMAS STORY THE MUSICAL, SHREK THE MUSICAL, MARY POPPINS THE MUSICAL, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, AND SCHOOL OF ROCK THE MUSICAL.
- SINCE OPENING, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PRODUCED LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTIONS. BROADWAY ON MAIN USES THEATER AS A TOOL TO BUILD CONFIDENCE, SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH, ENCOURAGE SELF-EXPRESSION, AND CREATE A TRUE SENSE OF BELONGING.
