Mission

THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO ENSURE THAT VULNERABLE NEWBORNS HAVE ACCESS TO LIFE-SAVING THERMAL CARE, REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY ARE BORN.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • AT EMBRACE GLOBAL, WE BELIEVE EVERY BABY DESERVES A CHANCE AT LIFE. OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE A WORLD WHERE EVERY NEWBORN HAS ACCESS TO THE CRITICAL WARMTH NEEDED TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE. EACH YEAR, MORE THAN 13 MILLION BABIES ARE BORN PREMATURE OR WITH LOW BIRTH WEIGHT, AND COMPLICATIONS RELATED TO PREMATURITY REMAIN A LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH AMONG CHILDREN UNDER FIVE. MANY OF THESE DEATHS ARE PREVENTABLE, YET ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE THERMAL CARE REMAINS LIMITED IN LOW-RESOURCE SETTINGS DUE TO INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRAINTS, UNRELIABLE ELECTRICITY, AND GAPS IN HEALTHCARE ACCESS.WE DO THIS THROUGH AN INTEGRATED MODEL BUILT ON THREE ELEMENTS: TRAINING, TECHNOLOGY, AND PARTNERSHIP. ALL THREE ARE REQUIRED. A WARMER WITHOUT TRAINING DOES NOT SAVE LIVES. TRAINING WITHOUT A TRUSTED LOCAL PARTNER DOES NOT HOLD. EMBRACE DOES NOT DONATE DEVICES. WE BUILD SOLUTIONS.OUR WORK TAKES TWO PRIMARY FORMS:- EMERGENCY RESPONSE: RAPID DEPLOYMENT OF INFANT WARMERS TO CONFLICT ZONES, DISASTER SETTINGS, AND AREAS EXPERIENCING ACUTE HEALTHCARE DISRUPTION, INCLUDING ACTIVE PROGRAMS IN SUDAN, SYRIA, YEMEN, AND AFGHANISTAN.- HEALTH SYSTEM STRENGTHENING: PARTNERING WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENTS, AND GLOBAL HEALTH INSTITUTIONS TO INTEGRATE THERMAL CARE INTO FACILITY-BASED AND COMMUNITY-BASED NEWBORN CARE, WITH ONGOING MINISTRY OF HEALTH ENGAGEMENT IN ZAMBIA TOWARD NATIONAL-SCALE IMPLEMENTATION.THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH NGOS, UN AGENCIES, AND MINISTRIES OF HEALTH, EMBRACE SUPPORTS EQUITABLE ACCESS TO ESSENTIAL NEONATAL CARE WHILE BUILDING LOCAL CAPACITY FOR LONG-TERM IMPACT.EMBRACE'S PORTABLE INFANT WARMER USES PHASE-CHANGE MATERIAL TO MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT THERAPEUTIC TEMPERATURE FOR SEVERAL HOURS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR CONTINUOUS ELECTRICITY. THE DEVICE IS REUSABLE, EASY TO USE, AND DESIGNED TO COMPLEMENT KANGAROO MOTHER CARE, MAKING IT WELL-SUITED FOR LOW-RESOURCE ENVIRONMENTS.SINCE ITS FOUNDING, EMBRACE HAS SUPPORTED THE CARE OF OVER 1 MILLION NEWBORNS ACROSS MORE THAN 26 COUNTRIES. IN 2025, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO EXPAND ITS REACH THROUGH ACTIVE PROGRAMS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA, SOUTH ASIA, AND HUMANITARIAN SETTINGS, INCLUDING PROGRESS TOWARD COUNTRYWIDE IMPLEMENTATION IN SUDAN AND PARTNERSHIP GROWTH ACROSS ETHIOPIA, ZAMBIA, CAMEROON, AND BEYOND. EMBRACE IS ON TRACK TOWARD ITS GOAL OF REACHING 5 MILLION BABIES BY 2035.
