Program accomplishments

  • The Tucson LGBT Chamber of Commerce, affectionately known as the Gaymber, celebrates a year of significant growth, impactful events, and transformative leadership in 2024. Upholding our core belief that Inclusive Business is Good Business, we continue to empower the economic and social advancement of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. This year marked key developments in our leadership structure with the appointment of our first interim executive director, setting the stage for enhanced strategic leadership. We also embarked on the search of our first full-time permanent executive director, underscoring our commitment to robust organizational growth. Our membership expanded significantly, with active members growing by 20.79 to 244, and courtesy memberships by 20. This increase reflects the growing trust and engagement within our business community. The highlight of our event calendar was hugely successful Cirque du so-GayLa in December, a spectacular gathering that captured the spirit and unity of our community. Additionally, our monthly networking breakfasts featured incredible speakers, providing valuable learning and networking opportunities. Our Out & About networking events spread across Tucson also continued to foster connections and visibility for our members. Our commitment to creating inclusive spaces where diversity is celebrated has been exemplified through our diverse and engaging events. The strong attendance, with 933 actual attendees at various events, demonstrates the robust, supportive network we have nurtured, which continues to grow and thrive. With a solid foundation in place and exciting leadership transitions underway, we are poised for even greater achievements. We look forward to continuing our journey of growth, leadership, and unwavering commitment to inclusivity, enhancing our advocacy for a business landscape where everyone is welcomed and valued. Here's to a future filled with more impactful events, strategic growth, and deepened community engagement.
