Mission

Conservation & Restoration of Antelope & their Habitat in Arizona. Conservation projects intended to protect, enhance, improve and connect viable & critical antelope habitat in Arizona

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Community Outreach Program accompishments include the publishing of a scientific journal - THE PRONGHORN, which is a journal about grassland habitats and how we are trying to maintain them or improve for the benefit of Pronghorn Antelope and other Indicator species of the grasslands. The articles are written by former or current Wildlife Biologists and Scientists and are an update of the various ongoing projects and updates on current habitat issues and conditions. Includes Hunter education and sponsorships. a hunter education clinic and funding of other habitat and hunting initiatives
    Expenses $13,409 · revenue $1,210
  • Conducted 4 fence projects either removing or modifying existing old livestock fences. Removed 3.5 miles of fencing on 2 projects and modified another 5.5 miles of fences on 2 other projects. The projects include many donated hours of labor and miles driven to and from project sites by volunteers. These 9 miles of removed or modified fences will provide decades of easier mobility for pronghorn and other local wildlife populations. The increased mobility allows for increased exchange of local pronghorn populations, better access to water and critical fawning and winter habitats. Increasing mobility increases the long-term survival chances of these pronghorn populations.
    Expenses $38,917
  • The last half of 2024 and most of 2025 was one of the driest periods in AZ history. Wildlife was stressed by these extra dry periods and permanent waters required supplemental water hauling to keep them from drying out. Maintaining and increasing permanent wildlife accessible water for pronghorn is a priority of our mission. We funded a variety of wildlife water enhancing projects: 1)Partnering with the Arizona Sportsmans for Wildlife Conservation, Arizona Elk Society, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Mule Deer Foundation to fund a new 17 mile long water delivery system with nine wildlife drinkers in northern Arizona; 2) Partnering with federal agencies and landowners to fund a well conversion from diesel to solar power in southeastern Arizona; 3) Restoring a well and storage system to provide permanent water to Sonoran pronghorn and other desert wildlife; 4) Partnering with the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society and Arizona Deer Association to purchase a new 1,000 gallon water trailer, which was donated to a Wildlife Manager facilitating the filling of critical waters in a desert area; 5)Purchasing a new 750 gallon water trailer that was donated to the Tucson Arizona Game and Fish Department region, as the existing water trailers were wearing out from continual hauling over rough roads; and 6)Contributing towards a new water delivery system in the newly purchased Goodwater Ranch located in Unit 2A east of Holbrook. We contibuted $49,723 of funds toward these 6 water projects. We also partnered with the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society to purchase and modify a new bighorn sheep and pronghorn transportation trailer. We contributed $16,605 and volunteer labor to make this trailer operational, so captured bighorn sheep and pronghorn can be safely transported to new approved release sites to bolster populations of these two iconic species. We sponsored the Auction of two of the States Commissioner Antelope Tags, that are sold to the highest bidder. We collect those funds on behalf of the Arizona Game & Fish Department (such as in 2025, when collected $215,000) and then 100% of those funds are transferred to the Arizona Game & Fish Department. Any costs associated with those efforts are paid by us or shared with other 501(C)(3) organizations. The Arizona Game & Fish Department then uses 100% of those proceeds for Special Habitat or Scientific Research for those species.
