Mission
The mission of The Remedy Project is to harness the power of student activism and the firsthand experiences of formerly incarcerated advocates to address one of the most urgent human rights crises of our time - the U.S. prison system.
Program accomplishments
- Providing administrative remedies (grievance process). Formerly incarcerated experts in the administrative remedy process train students to correspond with our incarcerated members and write remedies on their behalf. Administrative remedies legitimize and humanize the struggles that incarcerated individuals face, and combined with campaigns and base building, significantly increase the pressure on prisons to change their culture of corruption and abuse.Expenses $3,404 · revenue $292
