Mission

SAMMYS MISSION EXIST SO THAT MEN STRUGGLING WITH HOPELESSNESS AND ADDICTION CAN EXPERIENCE HOPE, HEAR THE GOOD NESW OF GODS WORD, LIVE IN SOBRIETY, AND SERVE OTHERS. WE PROVIDE FAITH BASED THERAPY AND HOMES TO MEN TO LIVE A LIFE OF SOBRIETY.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • SAMMY'S MISSION EXISTS SO THAT MEN STRUGGLING WITH HOPELESSNESS AND ADDICTION EXPERIENCE HOPE, HEAR THE GOOD NEWS OF GOD'S LOVE, LIVE IN SOBRIETY AND SERVE OTHERS. WE PROVIDE SAFE, SOBER TRANSITION HOMES TO MEN IN ADDICTION RECOVERY. WE ARE A "2ND STEP" IN THE RECOVERY PROCESS. THE MEN THAT ARE OUR RESIDENTS, COME TO US FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL REHAB PROGRAM. WE HELP THEM FIND STABLE, GOOD JOBS. WE HELP THEM SET GOALS FOR THEMSELVES AND GIVE THEM THE RESOURCES TO ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS. THEY ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE WITH RANDOM, TARGETED, AND SCHEDULED DRUG TESTING. OUR RESIDENTS MUST COMPLETE WEEKLY ACCOUNTABILITY TASKS SUCH AS ATTENDING CHURCH, ATTENDING 2 RECOVERY MEETINGS, MEETING WITH A SPONSOR 2 TIMES A WEEK, DOING OUTREACH PROJECTS FOR THE COMMUNITY, AND COMPLETING A 12-STEP PROGRAM. WE DO WHAT WE DO BECAUSE ADDICTS FIGHT SO HARD TO GET OUT OF THE HOLE OF ADDICTION WHEN THEY GO THROUGH A REHAB PROGRAM, IF THEY DO NOT HAVE SOMEWHERE SAFE TO GO FOLLOWING REHAB, THEN THEY WILL LIKELY RETURN TO THE SAME PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS AND RELAPSE OCCURS MORE TIMES THAN NOT. IN 2025 WE HAD 93 MEN COME THROUGH SAMMY'S MISSION. OF THOSE 93 MEN, 32 OF THEM DID RELAPSE WHILE IN SAMMY'S MISSION OR SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING. THIS IS A RELAPSE RATE OF 34%, WHICH IS WELL BELOW THE NATIONAL AVERAGE. IN 2025 THE NATIONAL AVERAGE FOR RELAPSE OF MEN WHO COMPLETED A SUCCESSFUL REHAB PROGRAM WITHIN 1 YEAR IS 85%. THIS MEANS THAT WHAT WE ARE DOING AT SAMMY'S MISSION IS WORKING. IN 2025 WE WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE OUR 7TH HOUSE, WHICH MAKES OUR CAPACITY TO BE 41 MEN. WE STAY FULL AND GENERALLY HAVE A WAIT LIST FOR MEN TO ENTER OUR PROGRAM. WE WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE A NEWER VAN IN ORDER TO GET OUR MEN TO AND FROM WORK, MEETINGS AND CHURCH. WE ARE HELPING THESE MEN IN OUR PROGRAM LEARN THEIR WORTH AND IDENTITY IN JESUS CHRIST AND GIVING THEM THE TOOL AND RESOURCES THAT THEY NEED IN ORDER TO LIVE A CHRIST CENTERED, SOBER LIFE
