Mission

The mission of YouthCentric is to strengthen resilience, emotional stability, and life balance in high school students and promote positive mental health through school-based programs and mentoring led by trained college student leaders.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • YouthCentric operated school-based leadership, resilience, and emotional wellness programs designed to help high school students strengthen life balance, communication skills, healthy decision-making, and stress management. Programs were facilitated by trained college student leaders through after-school mentoring, interactive group activities, peer discussions, and student-led community service initiatives. During 2025, YouthCentric expanded its programming across multiple high schools in Cobb and Cherokee Counties, Georgia, and partnered with local nonprofit organizations to provide additional programming for students outside the school setting. The organization also continued its B3 Experience summer program to help rising 9th grade students prepare for a successful transition into high school. In total, YouthCentric served 500 students in person during 2025 and employed 41 college students part-time to support program delivery and mentoring activities. Post-program participant surveys reported strong outcomes in several areas. In the organization's most recent 2025 survey results, 94% of participants reported they would recommend the Matched For Good program to their peers, 90% reported a better understanding of the importance of mental health and self-care, and 90% reported they were less likely to misuse prescription medications or opioids following participation in the program. The organization also developed educational social media content designed to reinforce positive mental health, resilience, leadership, and healthy decision-making among teens and young adults.
