Mission
Beach Bum Philanthropy assists local shelters, social service agencies, and other non-profits that work to better the lives of people and animals in our communities. We assist by providing funds, goods and supplies, and volunteering to help these organizations provide their services to their clients. Some examples of our assistance are goods and supplies from their urgent "wish lists", homemade meals, and funds during times of critically low supplies.

This year we provided provided food products and supplies as needed (coffee, creamer, sugar, oatmeal, hot chocolate, cookies, personal care packages, feminine hygiene products, hats, gloves, etc.). Our primary donations this year were homemade baked goods (cookies, breads), meals (pasta bakes, chili, chicken bakes), and monthly dessert socials (pudding, cupcakes, ice cream, strawberry shortcake, root beer socials). Our in-person food events fed approximately 50-70 at each event. We also started to give "Tina's Buckets of Love" (3 buckets/baskets full of starter household items) when families move out of the shelter and into permanent housing.
