Mission

To provide access to sustainable sources of energy in East Africa

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2023

Program accomplishments

  • After completing their testing in 2022, we constructed our first five large biodigesters for families around Nakasongola. The families were vetted to ensure they had everything needed to successfully operate the biodigesters. Five families were identified and we constructed the biodigesters on their behalf. Each biodigester serves large families of individuals with an estimated impact of 60 individuals in the community provided with free cooking gas and biofertilizer.
    Expenses $5,076
  • We completed some water projects at a local church early in the year and added a water catchment system, a large cistern to store the water, and taps for access. This church serves as a community center and the water catchment and storage system allows access to water for events and hygiene.
    Expenses $2,898
  • As part of our female entrepreneur effort, we completed the renovations to our community center to equip the kitchen with the supplies needed for our cohort of entrepreneurs to cook chapatis on the free energy provided by the biodigester. This project primarily affected the small cohort of around 6 ladies who participated in the program.
    Expenses $1,875
