Mission
ORGANIZING EMPOWERMENT FUND (OEF) IS ORGANIZED TO ENCOURAGE EVERYDAY PEOPLE ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO BECOME MORE CIVICALLY ENGAGED, THAT IS, BECOME MORE INVOLVED IN THE ACTIVITIES AND DECISIONS MADE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES THAT ADDRESS SOCIAL ISSUES AND PROMOTE QUALITY OF LIFE. OEF PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ORGANIZATIONS, AND WORKS WITH THEM TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT RELATIONAL ORGANIZING PLANS THAT FIT INTO THEIR LARGER MISSION, AS WELL AS PROVIDE THEM WITH THE TRAINING THEY NEED TO DEVELOP AND APPLY CORE SKILLS IN THEIR VOLUNTEERS.
Program accomplishments
- WE PROVIDED SUPPORT IN THE FORM OF STAFF, TRAINING, AND TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS TO COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER 501(C)(3) NON-PROFITS WORKING WITH POOR AND OTHER UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT INCREASED PARTICIPATION IN VOTING. WE EXPANDED OUR MISSION TO PROVIDE VITAL COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION AROUND IMPORTANT PUBLIC ISSUES LIKE HOW TO OBTAIN A COVID VACCINE FOR THOSE WHO WERE INTERESTED.WE ENGAGED IN RESEARCH PROJECTS TO EVALUATE HOW TO BEST ENGAGE IN THESE UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.Expenses $3,666,694 · grants $25,000
