Mission
To assist the marginalized in applying for services and employment through the Keep.id application (https://keep.id). Nonprofit case managers use Keep.id to assist clients in obtaining, securely storing, and utilizing government-issued ID to apply for aid services and employment. We aim to form relationships with community partners and those they serve through our platform.
Program accomplishments
- Continued development on the Keep.id application with a focus on improving navigation of selecting different ID applications based on the situation of the client, developing a Keep.id hotline where clients can learn about how to apply for different forms of ID, and improving an automatic application mailing feature which allows a nonprofit to mail in an application for ID directly through the Keep.id website.Expenses $1,470
- Keep.id has partnered with a local nonprofit, Face to Face, in order to store digital copies of client birth certificates, once they are received in the mail at Face to Face a few weeks after each Birth Certificate Clinic. At each Birth Certificate Clinic, Keep.id teammates will give each client waiting in line an overview of Keep.id and ask if they would like an account, and if so, the client will come over to the designated Keep.id table to create their account. Then 6-8 weeks later, once the Case Worker at Face to Face receives the physical birth certificate in the mail, a copy is scanned and uploaded to the client's account, and the physical copy is picked up by the client at Face to Face. In this way, even if the physical copy is lost again, the client will still have access to the digital copy on their Keep.id account. Keep.id also now offers a Social Security Card Clinic at the Birth Certificate Clinic offered by Face to Face to assist guests in applying for a replacement Social Security Card.Expenses $322
