THE MISSION OF THE SALT LAKE CITY-UTAH COMMITTEE FOR THE GAMES IS TO BRING A FUTURE OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC WINTER GAMES BACK TO UTAH, WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON HOSTING GAMES IN 2030 OR 2034.
Program accomplishments
- THE MISSION OF THE SALT LAKE CITY-UTAH COMMITTEE FOR THE GAMES IS TO BRING A FUTURE OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC WINTER GAMES BACK TO UTAH, WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON HOSTING GAMES IN 2030 OR 2034. THE COMMITTEE IS A UTAH 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT WHOSE BOARD OF DIRECTORS INCLUDES ATHLETES, POLITICAL LEADERS, BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS. THE KEY ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMITTEE INCLUDE: DEVELOPMENT OF A GAMES VISION, PROPOSED LEGACY, AND OTHER TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS TO HOST A GAMES FOR SUBMISSION TO THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE; PROMOTION OF SALT LAKE CITY-UTAH'S AMBITIONS TO HOST THE GAMES; ENSURING STRONG ALIGNMENT BETWEEN HOSTING THE GAMES AND COMMUNITY LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT PLANS THROUGH ACTIVE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT; AND ADVANCING OLYMPISM AND PARALYMPISM THROUGH ALL COMMITTEE'S ACTIVITIES.Expenses $5,378,232
