Mission

To educate grade school-age girls about policy and budgeting within their community through sisterhood, academia, community service, and mentorship. This shows up in a number of ways that include ensuring that not only youth in the program receive the basic necessities they need to remain focused students but also ensuring that their peers are connected with helpful resources as well.

Program accomplishments

  • During this fiscal year, the organization focused on creating a safe educational space. This ensured that students had an outlet outside of their academic classrooms. They were able to learn the dynamics of goal setting and how it impacts their future plans. We then pivoted and talked about how goal setting goes hand in hand with policy. We also worked with students to develop a thanksgiving basket project to support their local community
    Expenses $1,000 · revenue $1,000
  • The organization hosted a one week sumemr camp experience for girls to engage in STEM based projects, mentorship, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, a college tour, life skill development, and exposure experiences
    Expenses $14,923 · revenue $14,923
  • Youth who participated in being apart of the camp were surveyed for their experience from beginning to end as they were apart the entire process of fundraising for the camp. In addition they participated in monthly calls that focused on pre development prior to camp so they we could assess which sessions would be truly impactful for them.0
