990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • DEVELOPMENT OF A FULL FEATURE LENGTH FILM THAT EMBODIES CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES: INDEPENDENT ARTISTS CONTINUED TO BE EMPLOYED TO DEVELOP CERTAIN ASSETS THAT WILL BE NEEDED TO PRODUCE THIS FILM. DEVELOPMENT AND COMPLETION OF A FULL FEATURE LENGTH FILM IS A LONG AND EXPENSIVE PROCESS, SO THIS PROJECT WILL BE ONGOING FOR SOMETIME.
    Expenses $15,614
  • WEEKLY MISSIONAL TRAINING FOR STAFF ENGAGED IN VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT THAT SUPPORTS THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION: THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS STAFF THAT ARE ENGAGED IN THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY BY PROVIDING THEM WITH TRAINING WHICH SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION TO THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY. SUCH TRAINING ENGAGES THE STAFF TO TRAIN THEM IN CHRISTIAN VALUES AND HOW THOSE VALUES MIGHT BE PROMULGATED IN THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY THROUGH WORK RELATIONSHIPS, PRODUCT DESIGN, CUSTOMER ENCOUNTERS, PUBLIC RELATIONS, ETC.
    Expenses $17,101
  • IMLADRIS CONFERENCE: THIS INDUSTRY-WIDE CONFERENCE IS DESIGNED TO BE A FORUM FOR SUPPORT AND ENGAGEMENT FOR VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY PLAYERS SUCH AS BUSINESS PEOPLE, CREATIVES, PRODUCERS, ETC., WHO SUPPORT DARK HORSE MINISTRY'S INTENTION TO INFLUENCE THE VIDEO GAMING INDUSTRY WITH CHRISTIAN VALUES. THIS TWO-AND-A HALF DAY CONFERENCE IN 2024, ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 120 PEOPLE OF VARIOUS AGES, GENDERS, EXPERIENCES, PERSPECTIVES, LOCATIONS, AND MATURITY WITH RESPECT TO LIVING OUT CHRISTIAN VALUES, WAS THE FOURTH OF ITS KIND AND RECEIVED VERY POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM THE ATTENDEES INSOFAR AS IT PROVIDED THEM WITH COLLEGIAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT IN AN INDUSTRY NOT KNOWN FOR SUPPORTING CHRISTIAN VALUES. THE CONFERENCE THIS YEAR CONTINUED TO INCLUDE SOME HIGHER-LEVEL INDUSTRY PARTICIPANTS WHO MAY BE ABLE TO EXPAND THE MINISTRY'S INDUSTRY INFLUENCE. THE ATTENDEES RESOUNDINGLY INDICATED THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS EXPERIENCE GROW AND CONTINUE. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DISCUSSION ABOUT HOW TO FORM MORE PARTNERSHIPS WITHIN THIS SEGMENT OF THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY AND HOW TO BETTER PROPEL AND REPRESENT CHRISTIAN VALUES. MORE AND LARGER SPONSORSHIPS OF THIS EVENT ARE NOW EXPECTED IN THE FUTURE.
    Expenses $77,218
  • DARK HORSE ALSO CONTINUES TO ENGAGE IN SEVERAL OTHER SMALLER INITIATIVES THAT SEEK TO EXPAND THE ORGANIZATION'S CHRISTIAN INFLUENCE WITHIN THE ENTERTAINMENT SECTOR, INCLUDING PODCASTS, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, VIDEO TRAINING TOOLS AND PARTICIPATION WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT MINISTRIES AS VOLUNTEERS AND COLLABORATORS FOR THEIR RELATED ACTIVITIES THAT ENHANCE DARK HORSE'S ABILITY TO EFFECT ITS OWN PROGRAMS.
    Expenses $19,560 · grants $8,500
