Mission
Khalsa Farms serves Yogi Bhajans vision of community/ashram living, providing a financially profitable organic farm that will generate produce, employment, income, and good will for the benefit of Hacienda de Guru Ram Das Ashram, the Langar Kitchen and the greater Espanola community.
Program accomplishments
- Khalsa Farms continued to grow a wide variety of certified organic crops using sustainable, regenerative methods. Fresh produce from the farm nourished Hacienda de Guru Ram Das Ashram, the Langar Kitchen, and families throughout the Espaola community. The farm provided meaningful work for local residents and ashram members, while its operations remained financially healthy and supported community programs. Khalsa Farms also welcomed WOOFers and interns from around the world, offering them hands-on training in organic farming and opportunities to serve the community. Throughout the year, the farm donated produce to the Langar Kitchen for free vegetarian meals and hosted volunteer days, tours, and workshops that brought people together to learn, share, and serve.Expenses $262,279 · grants $20,275 · revenue $46,131
