Mission

Colorado Vincentian Volunteers (CVV) invites young adults into a process of transformation through companionship with people who are living in poverty and are marginalized. CVV connects our Volunteers with agencies that serve these marginalized communities and individuals.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • In a typical program year, the young adults serving as Vincentian Volunteers participate in a year of engagement with marginalized populations while living in community with each other and undergoing a spiritual formation program along side their experiences serving the surrounding community. CVV accomplishes its mission by placing the volunteers as full-time staff members in agencies that provide services, resources, education, health care, housing, emergency assistance and job training to those who are in need. The volunteers live in an intentional faith community and participate in a structured program of experience, action and reflection on social justice issues and their work experience. Each volunteer works approximately 32 hours per week for 45 weeks, for a total of 1500 hours of service. The agencies have estimated that having one volunteer saves them approximately $15,000 to $25,000 annually. Throughout its history, CVV has provided over 650,000 hours of direct service with more than 70 agency partners.
