Mission

SEE SCHEDULE O

990 for the year ended August 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Wonderbloom continued to partner with the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church to operate a child care center in Murray, Utah. This past year we served 104 children. We were able to provide tuition scholarships to 15% of the children enrolled at Wonderbloom Nature Playschool, we continued to have a Spanish speaking staff member, and distribute flyers in 6 languages. Wonderbloom started a scholarship endowment this year with Community Foundation of Utah. Wonderbloom was also featured in several local media outlets (KSL, Utah Business Magazine, Murray Journal, & ABC 4- Good Things Utah). Wonderbloom received funding from the Garbett Family Foundation to increase our outreach, accessibility and scholarship program. Additionally, Wonderbloom continued to partner with The Bennion Student Service Center at the UofU. They again participated in two Saturday service project to deep clean, wash windows, seal wood, shovel, gravel, and in many ways clean up our outdoor classroom. In the fall we partnered again with the SOUL garden and Woodstock Elementary school to throw a free Fall community event called the Harvest Festival. We also initiated a new partnership this year with Neumont College. They have a group of students come and volunteer to help make adjustment to our chicken coop, rake, sweep and wash windows. Wonderbloom also partnered with a local university to host a paid intern starting in Summer of 2025. In the fall Wonderbloom was able to certify its outdoor classroom as a Nature Explore Certified Classroom. This past year we retained all of our educators & staff from the entire academic year (9/1/24-5/31/25). One of the educators attended the National Association for the Education of Young Children's annual conference in November 2024. The Director completed two SLCC Tech Business courses over the past year. While the Executive Director did two workshops for local educational organizations (Tracy Aviary & Utah State Board of Education). Wonderbloom also received a Quality Rating Score of ""Becoming High Quality"" from the Utah Department of Workforce Services. We were also awarded an Intensive Coaching Grant to begin in the Fall of 2025. The Executive Director continued to maintain contacts and participated in several early childhood advocacy groups in Utah: Voices for Utah Children, Promise Partnership (w/United Way), Child Care Advocates, Early Childhood Alliance, and Every Kid Outdoors Governor's stakeholder group. Lastly, we finished out the year with a community conversation with local business owners, community partners, educators & legislators.
