TO PROMOTE GREATER INCLUSIVITY AND ADVOCATE FOR ALL WOMEN AND GENDER MARGINALIZED COMPOSERS THROUGH MUSIC PERFORMANCE, EDUCATION AND COMMISSIONS.
Program accomplishments
- BOULANGER INITIATIVE PRESENTED HIGH-QUALITY PERFORMANCES AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING IN-PERSON AND VIRTUALLY. WE ARE CONTINUING OUR RESEARCH IDENTIFYING THE WORKS OF THOUSANDS OF GENDER MARGINALIZED COMPOSERS AND CREATED AND LAUNCHED A FREE AND ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC DATABASE TO HOUSE THIS INFORMATION. IN THE PAST YEARS WE ALSO LAUNCHED REDEFINING THE CANON, A PROGRAM THAT PARTNERS WITH ORCHESTRAS NATIONWIDE AND AIMS TO UPDATE THE MOST WIDELY USED ORCHESTRA AUDITION EXCERPTS TO INCLUDE EXCERPTS BY HISTORICALLY UNDERREPRESENTED COMPOSERS.Expenses $371,937 · revenue $58,837
