Mission
COACH TN, dba ONE Tennessee's mission is to address chronic pain and to prevent overdose and addiction through collaboration, clinical education, and coordination of services
Program accomplishments
- Since 2018, ONE Tennessee has worked to reduce the impact of the opioid epidemic on people and communities in Tennessee through collaboration, clinical education and coordination of services. In FY25, ONE Tennessee supported 9 health professionals (physicians, nurses, and pharmacists) to serve as academic detailers who engaged with 111 of their professional colleagues to share educational information and resources for appropriate prescribing of opioids to treat chronic pain, screening for misuse and/or dependency, recommended methods of treatment for substance use disorders, and resources for other support services such as housing, transportation, employment assistance, and peer recovery support. In addition, program staff served as preceptor for 2 graduate students in the fields of pharmacy and public health. To improve coordination among health professionals and other service providers, ONE Tennessee has continued to support the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency as it has expanded capacity to serve individuals in each of the region?s 14 counties. In FY25, ONE Tennessee has assisted to identify, engage, train and support clinical experts to conduct intake, triage, and referral to services that meet the needs of 358 individuals in the Upper Cumberland Recovery CONNECT program, while also helping to design and configure infrastructure for data collection, monitoring and reporting, analysis and evaluation to improve program operations and impact. In FY25, 212 individuals participated in the program, with an average of 5 referrals to services for individuals and an average of 4 follow-up contacts by a certified peer recovery specialist. As a result of these coordinated services, 127 individuals had achieved their 90-day recovery milestone, 32 had achieved their 60-day recovery milestone, and 16 had achieved their 30-day recovery milestone.Expenses $242,533
